CADKEY Workshop V21.5 3D CAD Software Interface Features Interface Features New users familiar with Windows-based software will be right at home with the organization of the pull-down menus, icon toolbars, shortcut keys and status line. Users experienced with established mechanical CAD and CAM software will appreciate the alternative "Classic" CADKEY DOS-style compact text-based menu system that supports rapid function key navigation. The icon palette toolbar interface is similar to other common Windows-based drawing software and provides for compact access to frequently used Create and Modify functions. In an adaptation originated by CADKEY, the icon palette in CADKEY Workshop uses tab buttons to organize related groups of icons, dramatically reducing icon clutter and palette size. Quick access to several dozen commonly used icon submenus such as create line and trim is available via shortcut keys. Activation causes the associated icon menu to pop-up next to the cursor. This exclusive productivity aid saves time and strain by significantly reducing dragging the cursor back and forth and clicking of menu selections.
