About Us

TechEDU is dedicated to supplying teachers and educational institutions with a broad selection of quality merchandise, providing educational equipment, software and reading materials to classrooms, administrative offices and individuals for a variety of academic needs. We offer delivery services through a variety of nationwide carriers, transporters and hand delivery to have your purchases delivered to your door in a timely fashion.

TechEDU is one of three divisions of InterWorld Highway, LLC, a well established holding company and an authorized manufacturer / distributor of major brands of test equipment, interactive whiteboards, overhead projectors, and educational technology products.

Our History.
Founded in 1969 as Shortess-Rawson Associates Inc., their primary business was technology education and test equipment sales. They were a leading retailer in the test and measurement industry, proudly supplying companies like JVC, Sony and Panasonic with test equipment. In 2000, Tequipment.NET was born to complement its already long established test and measurement business. As a result of the popularity of the website, in 2002, Tequipment spun off of Shortess-Rawson and became its own independent company. In 2003, Tequipment expanded its operation in both in size and capability, physically moving operations from Hillside, NJ to Hazlet, NJ and beginning its own educational division with the creation of TechEDU.com.

In 2005, TechEDU moved its operation from Hazlet, NJ to Long Branch, New Jersey. We now occupy a newly renovated building with 10,000 sq. feet of space. Long Branch is on the New Jersey coast about 1.5 hours from New York City and less than a block away from the Long Branch rail station.

Our family of companies has experienced significant growth over the past 3 years and currently have 24 employees with offices, cubicles, and a well stocked inventory area. Our strong internet presence is complemented by outside sales support. We pride ourselves with our product knowledge, strong phone support and speedy customer service. One can find us exhibiting at major regional and national trade shows like NJEA and NECC. We believe it is important that people see the friendly faces that represent our company.

Hours of Operation.
We are open from 8 am to 7 pm EST, Monday though Friday. To properly provide service to our customers, we are open additional seasonal hours as needed.
