Enable collaboration instantly

Now up to four students can collaborate with lesson content anywhere on the interactive surface. Each user can use a finger or a pen to simultaneously write or draw with a pen, erase with a palm and manipulate objects in SMART Notebook™ collaborative learning software. Teachers can enable collaboration instantly with no special tools or menus required – students can simply walk up to the SMART Board interactive whiteboard and immediately begin working together.

Putting the world at your fingertips

Lessons are interactive and engaging with the SMART 885. Students can use simple, intuitive touch gestures* to toss, rotate or zoom in on objects in Windows 7 or Mac Snow Leopard applications. The magical touch experience of the SMART 885 means that teachers or students can interact with lessons and multimedia quickly and easily – without having to access on-screen menus.

Object awareness

The SMART 885 uses cameras to identify when a user switches between using a finger, pen and eraser. A user can also write with a pen, erase with a palm and move objects with a finger, without having to press buttons, access on-screen menus or replace tools in the Pen Tray.

SMART Ink™

Discover a natural, responsive and accurate writing experience with SMART Ink. It smoothes out the appearance of the digital ink, which improves the legibility of your handwriting as you write over applications, websites and videos. The ink becomes an object that you can move and manipulate.

This powerful visual collaboration software allows users to create and capture ideas in the virtually unlimited interactive Unbound Workspace, as well as make notes over any available application, keep meetings organized and easily communicate outcomes.

Make working on complicated projects that require cross-functional and remote teams faster and easier by enabling simultaneous views of the same content on up to 16 displays. You can work on a zoomed-in view on one display, keep the zoomed-out view on another while viewing all annotations in real time across all displays.

More efficient meetings

Combined with Microsoft® Exchange®, SMART Meeting Pro reads meeting invitations to automatically start the meeting when you log in. It loads your agenda, attendee list, links included in the meeting invite and any attached documents. Use the embedded links feature to bring SharePoint® documents into your meeting.
