Siglent was founded in 2002. The company was founded out of a desire to redesign the common oscilloscope to make it more capable and less expensive. Today, Siglent is the number one manufacturer of oscilloscopes in China based on shipments. The company also manufactures multimeters, DC power supplies, and waveform generators. All these products are designed by a team of more than 90 R&D engineers. The company invests more than 15% of its annual sales in its R&D activities each year, meaning that Siglent products are some of the most innovative instruments on the market.
An example of Siglent’s innovation is the company’s EasyHunting technology, developed in 2005 for its oscilloscope products. This technology effectively increases the accuracy of the scope by 2-4 times that of common digital oscilloscopes. Another example is Siglent’s line of handheld oscilloscopes. These scopes were launched in 2011 and essentially combine a digital oscilloscope, multimeter and recorder in one handheld instrument. Top of the range handheld Siglent scopes feature 1GSa/s real time sampling rate, 60MHz/100MHz bandwidth, 2 input channels, and 2Mpts memory depth.
