The Promethean APT2-70 (version 2) ActivPanel Touch is a 70" interactive flat panel display that is robust, resilient and optimized for the classroom. The APT2-70 features a Full-HD 1080p (1920 x 1080) resolution with 16:9 aspect ratio. The APT2-70 active area dimensions is 1549mm x 872mm (61in x 34.3in). With 400 cd/m2 (400 Nits) brightness and DID type of panel usage. Its ActivGlide™ surface technology provides smooth multi-touch interactivity, and Promethean’s award-winning ActivInspire software ensure that students are active participants. The ActivPanel Touch's multi-user, ten-touch surface supports duo and small-group collaboration.

The new 70" ActivPanel Touch offers an array of input ports including HDMI, USB 3.0 and open pluggable specification (OPS). Connecting cables now plug in the rear or side of the ActivPanel Touch giving a neater, cleaner appearance. A single USB (renamed ‘Media USB’) remains on the front of the display to give teachers easy access. A magnetic stylus now attaches to the ActivPanel Touch for easy storage. An Infrared Remote Control provided to easily power on the ActivPanel Touch and have quick access to presentation function hotkeys to freeze the screen or select a blank screen. The ActivPanel Touch will support Windows 7, Windows 8, Mac OS X, Chromebook OS, and Linux.

The ActivPanel Touch offers versatile mounting options including a new line of height-adjustable stands. The line of stands includes a height-adjustable wall mount, height-adjustable floor mount, height-adjustable mobile stand and height-adjustable tilted stand. In conjunction with the new line of height-adjustable stands, Promethean offers the ActivPanel as a fixed wall mount or on a mobile stand. With the flexible ActivPanel Touch, it is easy to connect computers and other devices, including Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) computers and mountable miniature computer units such as the Intel® NUC.
