About

An extensive array of high quality projectors for different environment

Eiki-LogoEIKI is a Japanese company founded in 1953. In the time after its founding, EIKI specialized in classroom technologies like 16mm film projectors. EIKI engineers were able to design a 16mm projector which used only half the moving parts of popular 16mm projectors of the day. These projectors were built modularly, and all parts were contained inside four sub-assemblies. The result was a projector that cost less to manufacture, was far more reliable, and much easier to repair than any other at the time.

EIKI built itself on its ability to provide the most innovative, cost-effective 16mm projectors on the market at the time. These projectors quickly became the best selling 16mm projectors in the world. By 1974 EIKI began distribution to the United States.

The name “EIKI” results from the phonetic spelling of the combination of the Japanese words for “picture” (the sound “ei” as in “the letter A” or the word “face”) and “machine" (the sounds “k” and “I” as in the word “key”).  Think of “A-key to better communication”, and you’ll think of EIKI.
