GW Instek is the largest developer and manufacturer of test equipment in Taiwan. The company was founded in 1975 under the name Good Will Instrument Co. and manufactured mainly power supplies throughout its early years. Today the product line has expanded to include more than 300 high precision test and measurement instruments including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal sources, LCR meters, multimeters, and of course highly refined and capable power supplies. These test instruments are part of the "Electronic Test & Measurement Instruments" line. Instek's two other major product lines include "Video Surveillance Products" and "Service Support." Today these products are distributed across more than 80 countries via subsidiaries in China, the USA, Japan, Korea, and Malaysia.

Over the years, GW Instek has become a name synonymous with quality. Years of experience have given Instek the advantages necessary to maintain higher quality standards and create more reliable products than competitors. This experience, gained through years of successful R&D and distribution, has also allowed Instek to develop core technologies for Digital Storage Oscilloscopes and Spectrum Analyzers which outshine the competition. These include 100MHz DSOs and 2.7GHz spectrum analyzers. Instek is also ISO-9001 and ISO-14001 certified. The company provides one year of free maintenance on all products with 5 years of limited support thereafter.
